A granite post marking one point on the boundary line between the Towns of Hamilton and Wenham, Essex County, Massachusetts. It is on Linden Street.

This is one of many granite posts used to mark points on the boundary lines between towns in Massachusetts, in this case, the Town of Hamilton and the Town of Wenham. Inscribed on the top, the letter "H" (for Hamilton) and the letter "W" (for Wenham) are separated by the date (1905). It is approximately eight inches square and the top is flush with the sidewalk.

The marker is located in the sidewalk on Linden Street, about one hundred feet southeast of Willow Street.

The next adjacent marker heading northwest is Hamilton-Wenham 1B 0.2 mile.
The next adjacent marker heading southeast is Hamilton-Wenham 1, 0.1 mile.

Historical significance:
This is one of twenty markers along the 5.68 mile straight line boundary between Hamilton and Wenham. This line was not officially established until May 1, 1905. Seven of the survey posts along this line have the date "1905" engraved on them.
