This cemetery is still technically active as a "common" or "pauper's" cemetery, even though the last recorded opening of a grave was over 70 years ago. The earliest readable grave dates to 1794. There are approximately 50 graves marked here, and research indicated there there may be many more unmarked graves either in the cleared space shown, or under the surrounding corn fields.

It is located in Auburn, NJ which is part of Oldmans Township. The need for a pauper's grave is extremely rare here, as evidenced by the fact that there hasn't been a grave opened since 1940.
