This memorial is right in front of the USS Marlin displayed inside Freedom Park. It is practically right in the very middle of the park. The USS Hazard is behind you (to the right) as you look at the memorial. The artillery section of the park is behind you (to the left) as you look at the memorial.
It is about three feet tall and made of stone. It is just off the concrete path that leads you throughout the park to the multiple Navy displays.
