The scenic overlook is located at the end of a snowmobile trail. While there is technically a "road" getting you within 150M of the overlook, it is most definitely not traversable by a passenger car. Seriously, don't take a Corolla in here. A well built 4x4 can get closer close to the lookout. Remember your cell phone doesn't work within 100km of this point, nor is there any trace of civilization. For most of us, this "road" is more an easy hiking trail. In winter, you can get your snowmobile fairly close as well.
Exit Highway 144 at N47 44.836 W81 40.048. Follow the logging road to an intersection at N47 46.981 W81 39.414 - there is a small sign here indicating "Scenic Overlook 1km", put out by the OFSC Snowmobiling clubs. If you tried to bring a Corolla to this point, you're most likely hiking up the hill now to see if you can get your cell phone to work. It won't.
The views from the top are simply astounding, and you can see hundreds of kilometres from here. Being a fairly remote part of Northern Ontario, the view is of hills and lakes with very little evidence of human activity in any direction. Many people like to camp up on the hill. If you took the "road" in, you will have another 150M walk to get to the view, just head up the rocky trail to the top.
