RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1981 1.1 KM (O.7 MI) SOUTH ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 281 FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 83 BUSINESS AT PHARR, SET IN THE TOP AT THE SOUTH END OF THE WEST HEADWALL OF A CONCRETE SIPHON OF A LARGE IRRIGATION CANAL, 21.3 METERS (70.0 FT) WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY. THE MARK IS 3.0 M ABOVE HIGHWAY.
