This hospital serves the small community of the district of Tha Mai in the Chanthaburi province of south eastern Thailand, which lies ~20kms north of the provincial capital.
This hospital seems better equipped than other similar hospitals I have seen. I was told that the hospital was founded by the monk Phra Achan Somchai Thitawiriyo, the same monk who founded the nearby Wat Khao Sukim (WM9B0Y). Possibly, his influence enabled the hospital to be better equipped than its counter parts.
The hospital supplies basic services: emergency, outpatient, some diagnosis. Any greater level of care would be provided in the provincial capital.
