Located in a small park, south of Hwy.60, east of the town of Wilno, lies this Day of Mourning monument. One only has to travel this route when the flowers bloom in the spring, the sun glistens in the summer, the colours change in the autumn, or the snow falls in the winter to truly appreciate what we are able to enjoy, but so many cannot.
The text of the plaque reads as follows:
"Dedicated with deepest respect to the workers whose lives have been disabled or ended by injury of disease in the workplace, in their struggle to support their families and maintain their cultural integrity."
Location: Small roadside park
