A bit of a challenge to spot to start with.
This cut mark is part buried by re-laid path. The bridge was deemed to be too weak or too narrow for two lanes of traffic to cross it so it was made one lane and footpaths lay down both sides of the road. I wonder which is heaviest? Two 6 inch thick tarmac footpaths, or a couple of cars?
The laying of the northern footpath has half buried the cut mark, but it can still be seen quite clearly.
