This sundial is also typical of sundials crafted by Joseph Auvray, Atelier Acacia. It is made from square tiles of glazed lava. The dial faces south, declining west. The Atelier Acacia trade mark is seen in the lower right corner of the sundial.
The motto is "Prends le temps de vivre, l'heures que je te donne." Consider the time of life, the hours that I have given you.
The dial is visible from the main road up the valley just over a kilometer west of Orpierre. We spotted across the fields on a large isolated farmhouse when returning for searching for the sundial in St Colombe WM8VDR.
