Full length marble statue of Saint Andrew. The bearded Saint Andrew is wearing a long robe and holding an open scroll inscribed, "Go Teach All Nations". In his other hand he holds a sack of fish, as Saint Andrew was originally a fisherman. At the base of the statue it is inscribed "Saint Andrew The Apostle" Behind the statue is a cross more in shape of X symbolic of the type of cross that is said that Saint Andrew was to have been martyred by crucifixion at Patras (Patrae) in Achaea.
Below the statue is a bronze plaque inscribed:
This statue of St. Andrew, dedicated November 29, 1981. Is a memorial to Monsignor B.F. McDevitt, faithful Rector of St. Andrew's Cathedral 1950-1981.
