Surat Thani is a small city in southern Thailand. It has several private hospitals, one of which, and arguably the best, is Thaksin Hospital, located towards the outskirts of the town. It is a relatively small hospital, with an emergency wing, and with its own ambulance service. Its reputation (gained from talking to a few locals) is that it is well equipped, the best in the province.
A brief visit indicated to me that the hospital caters largely to the more affluent locals, few of the staff speak English nor were there English language signs or paperwork. Nor, for that matter, could I find a website for the hospital.
