IBC Marker 48 (IBC19994842) is one of the land based International Boundary Commission markers used to define the US/Canada border along the St Clair River between Michigan and Ontario

This rather unique second order horizontal control marker even has a historic plaque to go with it recognizing the establishment of the International Boundary. Not listed in the CSRS database but I was able to find it in Cosine where it’s listed as IBC19994842 with the coordinates N42°54'17.66049" W82°27'26.77282" (N 42° 54.294’, W 82° 27.446’) at an elevation of 180 metres

Curiously the map on the waymark page shows it right on the border between the US and Canada. It really isn't - it's well on the Canadian side and is a reference point for the true border which is in the middle of the river.
