On top of the hill between Sandel Rise and Kellyville Heights in the suburb of Merrilands, New Plymouth. Good distant views of sea (to the North), and Mt. Egmont /Taranaki to the south.

On top of the hill between Sandel Rise and Kellyville Heights in the suburb of Merrilands, New Plymouth.
From Mangorei Road, turn East into Turakina Street, then North into Riversdale Drive, then West into Kennedy Place, North into Sandel Rise. A concrete accessway leads NE between number 15 & 17 to the rear of the houses at the end of the cul-de-sac, to open grassland. The wide grass track follows the ridge, between private fenced properties on the western side and a five wire fence on the eastern side. The trig is about 100m along the ridge on the eastern side on top of the hill.
Good distant views of sea (to the North), and Mt. Egmont /Taranaki to the south.
