This is one of many granite posts used to mark points on the boundary lines between towns in this area, in this case, the Towns of Hamilton, Ipswich, and Topsfield. The markers generally are located where the town line turns at an angle, although in some cases they occur at intermediate points in long straight runs. This marker is at a three-way junction point.

This marker is located in Bradley Palmer State Park. You can get a trail map either from the web site or at the park. There are eleven boundary markers in BPSP. The nearest adjacent markers are Hamilton-Topsfield 1 WM (WM6Q7E), 0.2 mile SW, and Ipswich-Topsfield 1 (WM6TG4), about 100 yards north.

The letters "H" (for Hamilton), "I" (for Ipswich), and "T" (for Topsfield) are engraved on three sides. The number "10" is engraved under the "T". It most likely signifies the year the marker was put in place (1910). This marker is approximately six inches square, and about four feet tall.
