OLD PULASKI COUNTY COURTHOUSE built in 1887 and looking like a medieval castle, with red-trimmed stone watchtowers and a moat-like walkway opening into the basement.  The old courthouse, like the new, is used for county offices. - Arkansas: A Guide to the State, Little Rock section, pg. 180.

The old courthouse continues to be used by Pulaski County as  a courthouse.  The old courthouse along with its attached newer addition were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
