There are many monuments on this sidewalk, just off to the side of the eternal flame. This particular one stands out not only because it is larger than the rest, but also for its decoration. The sculpted heads of women draw your attention as you walk along. The nearby plaque with words from Sarge Lintecum give further emphasis to the meaning behind this sculpture. The stone is a pink granite, however it appears to have gotten dingy over time. There is a grey cast to it now.
