This Wat is found on a main road leading to/from the town of Surin. Easily visible from the road. I was told by a local that, this Wat was specifically created for the cremation of deceased ethnic Chinese Thai nationals. The Wat certainly has a strong Chinese theme.

The design of the Wat is straightforward. There is a main building with Buddha images. Outside there are two crematoria. Between the main building and the main road is a large paved parking area. This leads me to believe that there are times during the year when large gatherings of the local Chinese Thais take place.

When I visited the Wat was deserted (only westerners are silly enough to run around in the hot Thai midday sun).
