This Wat is clearly destined for great things. The abbott has actively sought to upgrade and modernise his Wat.

The Wat buildings are all new, and well designed. The main building has an 'open plan' floor area, with bright Buddhist paintings on the walls, with a statue of the Buddha and various senior monks. The upstairs area is even more attractive. The walls are covered with more paintings, and there is a central area with Buddha images. There are plans underway to further expand the Wat. Surrounding the main building are the usual support buildings: crematorium, monk living quarters, and so forth.

Note: the name. I could find no English language transliteration of the name (it is not listed on google Earth!), so I transliterated myself. Close as can be from Thai.
