Torre de Tavira - Faro, Portugal - Water Towers on Waymarking.com

This concrete water tower was built in 1931 at the top of the town, next door to the Igreja de Santa Maria and not far from the castle, so is in a prime tourist area. It has eight legs and is of quite a common Mouchel design. In 2004 it was converted to a Camera Obscura by Clive Jackson and his wife, Gloria, who run astronomy holidays in the Algarve from their observatory. A lift has been installed, stairs are also available if you feel the urge of a bit of a workout.
