Located between San Diego's Mission Beach and La Jolla, Pacific Beach is almost always teeming with tourists. The area has numerous restaurants and bars. The beach is dominated by Crystal Pier which has cottages permitting tourists to sleep over the ocean. The boardwalk is usually crowded with walkers, runners, bicyclists and skaters.
