PB0547 - USCGS Y370, Oregon - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This benchmark is located along U.S. Hwy. 97 at Wickiup Junction. The cap is located near the NE corner of the Burgess Road Park & Ride lot, north of the shelter. Cap location is marked by two metal markers and a Carsonite marker and is couple of inches below ground level. The cap was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1942 and was marked Y370.

A NEW DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS. 4.3 KM (2.65 MI) NORTHERLY ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 97 FROM THE POST OFFICE IN LAPINE, 46.3 M (151.9 FT) SOUTHWEST OF THE CROSSING OF THE BURLINGTON NORTHERN RAILROAD, 17.1 M (56.1 FT) NORTHWEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY, 13.5 M (44.3 FT) SOUTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF COUNTY ROAD 42, 0.3 M (1.0 FT) NORTHEAST OF A WITNESS POST, 0.3 BELOW THE LEVEL OF THE HIGHWAY, AND IN TOP OF A CONCRETE POST THAT PROJECTS 0.03 M (0.1 FT) ABOVE THE GROUND SURFACE.
