Very nice church and building. Home to about 400 families, the parish also has a parish hall and a CCD building. It also operates the cemetery, whic is located at a different location than the church, and I did not locate it. In front of the church is a static bell, which came from the old church building, made unsafe by Hurricane Betsy in 1965. Amelia was once known as Bayou Boeuf. Amelia is also home to a large Casino boat the "Amelia Belle" and the entire area is heavy industrial (ship yards and iron workers).
