Franke Park has really served mountain bikers well as a model multi-use park. Mountain biking has peacefully co-existed with many other activities for years. The trails themselves are not a travel destination for out-of-towners. They are, however, a great ride for locals who wish to exercise after work or prepare for an upcoming race. For those looking for an adrenaline rush, a quick drop down the soapbox derby hill trail has raised a few heart rates in its time. Johnny Appleseed himself was even rumored to have taken the downhill plunge - planting seeds along the way, mind you. Trail surface is singletrack.
