Celebration, Florida was a planned community established in 1994 by the Walt Disney Company. It was intended to carry out Walt Disney's dream of a city where people could work, live, and play, which he called EPCOT. Unfortunately Disney died before he was ever able to carry out with his plans. In the early 1990s, Disney de-annexed part of the land acquired for Disney World south of U.S. 192 and east of I-4 to create the town of Celebration.
The location of this manhole is in the oldest section of the town in the downtown commercial district. There are several shops, restaurants, a movie theater, and other amenities in this area, along with a nice public plaza overlooking a lake. This manhole is located in that plaza.
