The horizontal tombstone found in Mount Tabor Methodist Cemetery is that of Hollywood director D. W. Griffith. It is towards the center of the cemetery. Do not confuse it with other Griffiths found in same cemetery.
Description:
D. W. Griffith was one of the pioneering directors in the early days of motion pictures, primarily known for directing silent pictures. Most famous for his 1915 film "Birth of a Nation". He is also one of the founders of the United Artists movie studios, best known today for producing the James Bond series of movies.
