This fountain was originally located a block to the east in the center of the intersection of Main and Franklin Street. The fountain was built in 1902 and features a cast iron figure of a small boy holding a large fish. The Weston to Elgin Highway opened in 1938 and ran along Main Street. By the 1950’s the fountain in the center of the street had become a traffic problem, so the fountain was removed. In 1974 the fountain was restored and placed in a small memorial park at SW corner of the Water and Main Street intersection. The Heritage Wall was developed as part of the fountain restoration project.
