Farmington is a town in Waupaca County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 4,254 as of Jan. 2009. Farmington township is the largest of the 22 townships in Waupaca County.

On August 14, 1973 the Farmington township bought the former Barton School from the Waupaca School District.

The Barton School District, founded on September 24, 1855, built the present building in August 18, 1902 to replace the original building which was sold to a neighboring farmer for $27. and moved to his farm.
The building served as the Barton school until 1972
