Originally a depot for the Unioin Pacific and Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad. The depot was completed in 1899 and operated until 1946.

The building that remains is only one-third of the original depot. After 1946, trucks, busses, and automobiles eventually replaced the need for the railroad and the line was abandoned.
