The Living Memorial Sculpture Garden (LMSG) is located 13 miles NE of Weed, California, in the shadow of Mt. Shasta. There is a Memorial Wall located here featuring a special plaque to Siskiyou County's Ltc. Ace Alan Cozzalio. Alan was a decorated helicopter pilot, founding member of the LMSG and cowboy all his life. A bronze relief image of Alan, by artists Scott Taylor, depicts Alan with a cowboy hat.

The Hot LZ (combat landing zone) helicopter sculpture perches on top of the granite wall. Two large wire-frame helicopters with figures inside were done by artist Dennis Smith.
The whole sculpture garden with its many artworks is a very moving experience. The setting is expansive and beautiful. The LMSG should not be missed.
