Located just east of the downtown Granville, OH, the Buxton Inn is a great little place, open to the public, to stay overnight or just pop in for a well cooked meal.
After reading up on the location, we went there for a lunch and to check the place out. Being totally novice 'ghost hunters', we snapped a couple photos and caught one or two potential orbs.
In addition to the orbs, another creepy moment happened just upstairs from the check-in desk. At the top of the stairs, about 20 feet from them, is a door that leads back downstairs. When we were up there, my back was turned to the door and I heard the creek and gentle *tap* of the door latch to the jamb. I turned to my girlfriend and asked if she heard it. After about a minute of her not believing that I heard the sound, she thought I was just trying to get a rise out of her. I pointed in the direction of the sound (and door) and the same door slowly creeked shut again, tapping the latch on the jamb. We snapped the photo (nothing showed up) and walked to the door. There was no draft coming in or out of the stairwell that the door sat atop of. Ghost? Maybe.
The other photos I have posted here show two orbs. The one in the bar *might* be a reflection in the lacquered woodwork. It might not be.
The second photo is what I think is a real orb. The door behind the orb is too angled to create an orb reflection. The room also has too much depth to it and very clean to be a piece of dust.
The Inn itself has a website, BuxtonInn.com, but does not specifically mention its haunted potential.
