This Queensland / New South Wales border crossing is located on the Tomewin - Currumbin Creek Rd just north of the township of Tomewin, NSW.
This area has an interesting history which is outlined here: (

The area has many walking trails and lookouts worth visiting.
There is enough room to stop on Glengarrie Rd on the southern side of the border and see the memorial border marker cairn with the inscription:
"THIS BORDER MARKER WAS ERECTED TO CELEBRATE THE CENTENARY OF FEDERATION AND TO COMMEMORATE THE SURVEY OF THE QLD-NSW BORDER BY SURVEYORS FRANCIS ROBERTS AND ISAIAH ROWLAND 1863-1866"
This border crossing is close the east coast of Australia and is quite easily accessible however as this is a smaller route through the mountains it does not see much traffic.
We crossed the border at this point on a day trip from Brisbane, QLD.
