Oklahoma Centennial clocks can be found in many places throughout the state. VERY interesting series of clocks! The clocks were procured by both the legislature and local communities to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the State of Oklahoma.

The clock was donated to this location at the Oklahoma City National Memorial by Hobby Lobby and Sandridge Energy. A press release concerning the clock can be found at the Oklahoma City National Memorial website

If you haven't visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial, you really ought to go out of your way to visit. There are only a few events that happen every decade that reaches out and touches people. This to me, happens to be one of them that can never be erased from the collective mind.

The Oklahoma Centennial Clock and Bell Project

A public art project that originally was to have 100 clocks throughout Oklahoma. The Centennial Clocks have gained so much popularity that fund drives are still on going in some communities, and more than 100 are in place, with more scheduled to be installed. More information can be gained by accessing this website. There are currently 114 installed or planned installations.
