The facilities were completely modernised in 2008
by the Tauranga City Council who run the airport.
The convenience of Tauranga Airport
is how close it is to the city -
by car, you are within 3 minutes of downtown Tauranga,
3 minutes from the beautiful beaches of Mt Maunganui
and less than 5 minutes from Bayfair Shopping Centre.
The only disadvantage with the airport is that
you can only fly direct to Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch
via Air New Zealand. There's generally about 10 flight's daily
