One of Rémi Potey's sundials in St Veran is on a gite on the main street, a "maison Familiale de Vacance" named "Les Perce Neige", or the hole in the snow. This 2004 painting shows a farmer cutting hay in a high alpine meadow. The motto in the local patois is “Sciou es houres que perdes” which I translate poorly as "Consider the hours that are lost", waymarking sundials perhaps.
