The Saint Patrick Church complex occupies an entire city block and was placed on the National Register in 1995.
The first Catholic Church in Walla Walla was built in 1859 and a second one was built in the 1860s. The present Gothic Revival style church was completed in 1881 in the NE corner of the block.
In 1905 the two-and-a-half story Neoclassical rectory was built at the SE corner of the block.
In 1928, the school was built on the west side of the block. Use of the school continued into the 1970s and the building was demolished in 1997.
