This bell was removed from the church in 1998 and refurbished and put on dislay in 2009. The church building is still in use.

Seneca is a very small community located in Faulk County, South Dakota. Its population was 49 as of July 2008. The population has dropped about 15% since the 2000 census.

The area was settled by German, Norwegian, Dutch, and Danish peoples.
The town is located on US Highay 212 about 25 miles west of Faulkton, SD.

Seneca is an agricultural community, located in an area heavy into farming and ranching. The only large business in town is an implement dealership which started in 1951.

Another successful business in the area, just south of Seneca, is a pheasant hunting company.
