Stutzman's Crossing Covered Bridge (35-38-04) – Walnut Creek, Ohio - Covered Bridges on Waymarking.com

Stutzman’s Crossing is located at the bottom of Olde Pump St., just east of Walnut Creek, and spans nearly 60 feet, with a 15-foot clearance and a width of 24 feet. It also includes a five-foot enclosed walkway. The massive support beams inside the bridge are built out of red and white oak, with additional wood being southern pine and douglas fir. It has a Multiple King Post truss. It was designed by Chris Young, Holmes County engineer.
The bridge was named after Jonas “Weiss” Stutzman, Holmes County’s first official white settler. The bridge was dedicated on Nov. 14, 2009. A crowd of close to 300 people gathered for the dedication.
