RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1952 IN ATLANTA. IN ATLANTA, DE KALB COUNTY, ABOUT 2.7 MILES SOUTHEAST OF DOWNTOWN FIVE POINTS, 184 FEET NORTH OF THE CENTERLINE OF ORMEWOOD AVENUE S.E., 31.4 FEET EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OR 5.6 FEET EAST OF THE EAST CURB OF MORELAND AVENUE S.E., 11.1 FEET NORTH-NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF A BRICK BUILDING, AND ONE FOOT EAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE SIDEWALK ON THE EAST SIDE OF MORELAND AVENUE. A STANDARD TRAVERSE DISK IS STAMPED ORMEWOOD 1927 982.701 AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST THAT IS 0.5 FOOT BELOW A CAST-IRON COVER WHICH IS FLUSH WITH THE SIDEWALK SURFACE.
