This wooden dray was hauled by 12 bullocks and used to cart the large native Kauri logs from the local forests to the saw mills.

It has had a somewhat chequered history since the bullocks last hauled it along Ahuroa Road and it eventually ended up with Carter Holt Harvey, who displayed it at their local forestry office. Carter Holt Harvey were approached by the Puhoi Historical Society and very generously donated the dray on condition that it was restore and put on public display. (visit link)
