"Various loops and spur trails in a nature preserve rich with bird-life. For-Mar is Genesee County's finest example of what caring and concern can create in a highly urbanized area. The park's 380-acre wildlife preserve and arboretum were opened in 1970 by the Genesee County Parks and Recreation Commission. For-Mar contains nature study areas, trails, and an arboretum for developing trees, vines, and shrubs planted in the park. The preserve is visited annually by thousands of hikers, birders, and urban residents just looking for open space. Only 1 mile from the city limits of Flint, For-Mar is an active education and environmental study center, open to everyone. Special attractions: Birding, and the Croyden Foote Bird Collection; wildlife viewing"
