This lovely sandstone bridge would have crossed the now closed railway, Eden Valley branch, Clifton extension of The North Eastern Railway.

The bridge arch is filled in, with nearby spur's embankment still evident in copse. The two lines would have met just east of the bridge.
The parapets are red sandstone, a local rock.
