Last seen sitting in a field awaiting repairs, this former farm bridge has been fully restored and is now the centerpiece of a town park; one must cross the bridge to reach the picnic area and walk trails.
One unique feature is the functional cattle gate in the middle of the bridge.
Information in the cited NRHP page is incorrect as it stands: 1. The bridge is not privately owned, though it probably was when it was listed. 2. it is northeast of Plainfield village, but it is not in the town of Plainfield, which is easily explained: the bridge is within sight of the village, which actually straddles the Plainfield-Marshfield town line.
