RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1973 1.3 MI SW FROM CHAMBLEE. A STANDARD MARTA BRASS DISK SET ALONG THE NORTHWEST SIDE OF PEACHTREE ROAD. ABOUT 1.3 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE SOUTHERN RAILWAY STATION AT CHAMBLEE, APPROXIMATELY 250 FEET NORTHEAST OF A CHAMBLEE CITY LIMITS SIGN, 60 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE NORTHEAST BUILDING LINE OF A RED BRICK BUILDING (U.S. GYPSUM CO. 4859 NEW PEACHTREE ROAD, CHAMBLEE), 4.0 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST CURB OF NEW PEACHTREE ROAD. THE DISK IS SET ATOP A CONCRETE POST FLUSH WITH THE GROUND.
