This is a rather impressive Victorian era fountain, located in Esplanade Park in the CBD of Singapore. The fountain was constructed to honour the memory of a 19th century Singaporean trader and businessman, Tan Kim Seng. The fountain has a number of historical plaques associated with it, describing its origins, restorations, and the history of Singapore since its construction. It is a quiet part of Singapore city, not too far from the World War One cenotaph.
In design the fountain has an elaborate, classically themed central feature. From here water shoots into a circular fountain area. There are public seats around the fountain.
