Prescot Station is on the railway from Liverpool to Wigan.
Tell us about the area the post box is situated.:
Prescot is an old township and the station used to adjoin the works of BI Callendars Cables who manufactured copper cable much of which was exported via the goods yard adjoining the station, now a block of flats!


Condition of the box: Good/Average/Poor: Average

Is this post box still in use?: Yes but plate damaged and information not readable

Is VR embossed on the post box or is it an "anonymous" box?: Yes with crown

Any other embossed lettering, such as manufacturer?: Post Office on the hood and posting box under the flap - no manufacturer visible
