Now a popular tourist attraction, 3km north of Coromandel Town, this unique mountain railway offers 2 spirals, 3 short tunnels, a switch back & a double-decker viaduct plus numerous other viaducts. A man with a quirky sense of humour, Bricknell has established other 'must see' structures along this 1-hour journey. The track passes through regenerating native kauri forest to the rail head. From here amazing views of Coromandel and the harbour can be seen.
