Northwest of Melfort stands a marker which tells the short version of the story about Almighty Voice. Only 23, he died along with two of his companions in a desparate two day battle. Two policemen and a civilian also died. The marker is situated on the north side of the highway, next to the tracks. More can be read here: (visit link)

It would seem that the deaths resulted of a misunderstanding by Almighty Voice as to what the penalty was for his original transgression. A sad part of our Saskatchewan history.

Located along Hwy 3, RM of Flett's Springs # 429, SE 1/4 32-45-20 W2, approx 17 km west of Melfort, kmeast of Beatty, SK.
