The stone font has some ornate decoration around the top and a cover with an inscription. The words 'For they shall see' appear on the font itself whilst the following is on the cover:

'To the Glory of God and loving memory of George Thomas Delme-Radcliffe
Captain in H.M. 46th Reg. who died Nov 25th 1888. This font is dedicated by his sisters.'

The church dates to 1829-31 and is a design by Smith of Hertford (GR). It is made of ironstone and stands in the centre of the village.
