Full-featured resort is closest to Vermont's population center, just a half-hour from Burlington.

Unusual in that it is locally owned and is one of the few (two, I think) lighted facilities in Vermont, as well as possessing the first wind turbine at a Vermont ski area (just the second at a ski area in the US). Generating in excess of 300,000 kw of power annually, what isn't used by the resort is fed into the statewide grid.

See lift ticket prices here.

Access by train is via AMTRAK to Waterbury with a bus to resort; by by plane through Burlington International Airport.
