DESCRIBED BY US ARMY MAP SERVICE (NOW DMA) 1964 STATION WAS RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION. THE TANK IS LOCATED ONE BLOCK EAST OF THE COURTHOUSE IN THE CITY OF CARTHAGE. IT IS APPROXIMATELY A 70,000 GALLON ELEVATED TANK WITH A SMALL BRICK BUILDING CONSTRUCTED UNDERNEATH, AND LOCALLY KNOWN AS THE TOOL HOUSE. THERE IS ALSO A 200,000 GALLON STANDPIPE TYPE WATER TANK LOCATED JUST NORTHEAST OF THE ELEVATED TANK.
